BE A GUEST BLOGGER: As a guest blogger, you would write an original 700-1500 word article or opinion piece about horror. Subjects can range from: **How you got into horror, horror writing, horror crafting, horror art, or dark music. **What your favorite horror movie is and why. (Or band, author, book, location, event, subject, etc.) **A horror icon (Elvira, the boogieman, Addams Family, etc...) or subject (hearses, haunted churches, etc...) and how this subject shaped or changed your life. **What frightens you, a reoccurring nightmare you have, or a ghost experience. **Horror occupations or an interview with a professional horror addict. **Some other off-the-wall topic that still relates to horror and the macabre in some way. **A review of a band, author, book, location, event, subject, etc. NOTE: This blog post should not be an advertisement for you or your work. You can list your achievements in your bio below. If a book or music review, you can not be connected with the production of it. If it is a borderline topic such as how you got into making scary dolls and why with links to the products you sell, email before to ask if it suits. Guest blogging is a one time shot, no strings attached. However, you can do it more than once if you like. Try not to make your topics time sensitive (like a movie coming out the following weekend or an event that may pass before the article is posted). If you are interested in being a more full time HA blogger, just let us know. We always accept new ideas and new blood. PITCH YOUR BOOK (or movie / event) BY CALL-IN / GET PLAYED ON THE SHOW: *Call in a short description of your book, who you are, and where to find you on the web. ---------YAHOO MESSENGER INSTRUCTIONS--------- You need a computer mic for this & Yahoo Messenger. 1. Sign in to Yahoo Messenger. 2. Add Emz as a contact: emzbox@sbcglobal.net (sometimes you can record a call without adding her). 3. When her name appears on your contacts- even if you are not listed as approved, run your cursor over her name and happy face. 4. When you see the phone appear, click the little picture of the phone. This will open a chat window and start dialing Emz. Soon a lady will say Emz is not available and to record your message. 5. Pitch away! When you are done, "end call". If everything works right, Emz should get the mp3 in her email box in about 3 minutes. If you haven't heard a response in one week, feel free to email to check if it was received. |
BE A FEATURED AUTHOR This option involves a lot of work on your part, but you also reap the greatest exposure. You will be featured as the guest that episode, have your story played, and get a written interview on our blog. *Email a short request stating your name, any books or podcasts you might have out, and paragraph about why you want to be on, how you heard about us, and what your favorite horror monster is. We also need approximately 1000 words (in the email body) of your writing style. This selection may not be the story we choose to air, but should be something horrifying. Because some seasons have themes, Emz will work out the details with you personally if your submission is accepted. |
