UNINVITED
By:
MIDOURI
You
can’t come in. You’ve chased me for the
last three nights. You’ve waited
outside the restaurant where I work. I
don’t even know you but you seem to know everything about me. And how did you find out where my mother
lives? Hell, how did you even find out
where I live?
I
don’t get out much. When I was out on
Friday night with my friends, I wasn’t out looking for love. I don’t even want a relationship right now. I’m sorry if I misled you to think that I
was interested. No, wait... I take that
back. What DID I do? I just smiled and said, “Hi”. Oh yeah, that just reeks of intent.
Don’t
you dare come any closer. You can’t
come in, remember? What?! I’m the most intriguing person you’ve ever
met? You need to get out even more than
do. Look, I’m not trying to be mean,
and I’m sure you’re a really nice guy, but I think it’s time for you to leave.
You’re
scaring me. I shouldn’t be telling you
this, but something inside of me is just not functioning correctly. I feel, all of a sudden, like I can tell you
anything. So I’ll tell you. I’m feeling sheer terror right now, I’m just
so scared.
I’m
going to close the door. Oh, my
God! Where is my voice? How did you do that? I can hear you, but your mouth is closed.
What
do you mean, you know? How do you
know? You can’t hear me, if I don’t
have a voice. It’s like you’re in my
head. You can’t do this to me. I don’t want you to kiss me. God, what’s wrong with my arms? They’re just hanging here, I can’t move
them. No, please. My legs too? Why can’t I fight or run or scream? All I can do is stand here and cry.
Please,
don’t tell me to relax. Strange things
are happening right now. I feel like
I’m losing my mind, and you want me to rela... mmm... What’s that smell? Is that you?
That smell is so familiar to me.
Wait! Please don’t kiss me
again. No, please, I’m really
scared. Stop it! No!
No! No!
I’m
screaming, how come no one can hear me?
Why are you doing this... Oh,
that feels real good. Mmm...
Your
breath is so warm and sweet, and that smell... I never noticed before but your
eyes are so beautiful. I know that
smell! You smell like my father on
Sunday mornings. I’ve always loved that
smell, it’s warm and safe and loving.
Well it wouldn’t hurt to kiss you once, I guess. Wow, this is wonderful. I’m floating! My head is spinning and my arms are light. Your lips are soft and gentle on my neck and
shoulders. Oddly, I feel like I can
totally give my self to you.
What
do you mean that’s all you were waiting for?
Ouch! Hey, did you just... you
did! You bit me on my neck. Get off of me, it hurts so much, please
stop! Ouch! I’m so sleepy. Your arms
are so strong and warm. Okay, you
win. This feels too good. What!?
You mean... I get to... do this... forever?
