The Problem With Paul 2004

From my earliest memories, the concept of putting words to paper has intrigued me. As a young man, I imagined myself in my library, puffing on an aromatic pipe from an overstuffed chair. Of course, that never happened and my career interest turned to the mechanics of printing words on paper and a career in Graphic Arts was launched.

My desire to be creator of those words that rolled from my printing press, lingered and after the loss of my soul mate of twenty years and at 53 and the now widowed father of two adult sons, I caught my youthful dream of being a writer and became what I’ve always wanted to be when I grow up.

My voice is penned from the life-experiences I have encountered as a Seventies vagabond, following a Jack Karouc inspiration. Traveling the nation from Ohio valleys to Upstate New York, zigzagging the Midwest to California and to Florida; my career in the Graphic Arts industry served me well. Settling in Florida for twenty years to raise a family, eventually returning to the origin of my roots in Southern Ohio.

My publishing credits include: An opinion article, ‘English as a Second Language’ in the bilingual newspaper La Perla. Two essays, ‘When The Dust Settles…’ at www.AcumenStudios.com and ‘Learning to Live with Hepatitis C’, in Creations Magazine. And two short stories, ‘A Room with a View’ in The First Line anthology and ‘Outside The Box’, also at Acumen Studios.
